About Us

Rock City Academy is an online learning platform providing high-quality home tuition for primary and secondary and prospective undergraduate students. We specialize in helping learners excel in core subjects with personalized, engaging, and results-driven online classes.

We're expanding our team and seeking experienced Maths and Science Teachers to join us as online tutors for one-on-one and small group sessions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and interactive online classes in Maths and/or Science
  • Provide homework support, exam preparation, and concept reinforcement
  • Adapt lessons to suit student needs and curriculum (e.g., NECO; JAMB GCE Curriculum, etc.)
  • Track student progress and communicate with parents and guardians as needed
  • Use digital tools effectively (Zoom, Google Meet, whiteboards, etc.)
Requirements
  • A degree in Maths, Science, Education, or a related field
  • Teaching or tutoring experience (online experience preferred)
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Familiarity with online teaching tools (Zoom, Google Docs, interactive whiteboards)
  • Reliable internet connection and quiet workspace
Bonus Points For:
  • Experience preparing students for exams (GCE, JAMB, NECO etc.)
  • Ability to teach across levels (primary and lower secondary)
  • Creative approach to online teaching (games, visuals, digital tools)

About Us

We are Rock City Academy, an education-focused academy dedicated to helping students excel in their JAMB and NECO exams. Our goal is to deliver high-quality exam prep through interactive lessons, practice tests, and smart revision strategies — either online or hybrid (where applicable).

Subjects We're Hiring For:
English Language / Literature in English Mathematics / Further Maths Biology, Chemistry, Physics Government, Economics, CRS / IRS, Geography Commerce, Accounting, Agricultural Science
Responsibilities:
  • Deliver live online or hybrid classes to senior secondary students
  • Prepare students for JAMB CBT & NECO written exams
  • Use past papers, mock tests, and practice materials in teaching
  • Track student progress and provide feedback
  • Create engaging, exam-focused lesson plans
  • Support students with homework and difficult topics
Requirements:
  • Degree in Education or subject area (B.Ed., B.Sc., or equivalent)
  • Proven experience teaching JAMB/NECO curriculum
  • Strong grasp of subject matter and Nigerian exam patterns
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Proficient in Zoom, Google Meet, or other online tools
  • Familiar with CBT practice platforms (for JAMB)
Bonus Points:
  • Experience teaching online or hybrid classes
  • Ability to teach across multiple subjects
  • Comfortable with marking essays and giving performance feedback
